11145 Generational Pastor - Exempt

The Generational Pastor must be a salvationist committed to the Tustin Ranch Corps, who will participate in the leadership and development of assigned ministries that are given oversight by the Corps. Ministries include but not limited to Children (infant to
5th grade), Youth ministry (6th-12th), Young Adult ministry (College +), Family, and Community Care (senior) Ministries. The Generational Pastor will implement effective execution strategy that is aligned with The Salvation Army Tustin Ranch Corps' overall
vision and mission.
Traditional Programs -
Support and collaborative ministry that aligns Children, Youth, Young Adult, Family, & Senior ministries together and ensure excellence in transition throughout the generations which includes involvement and equipping of leaders, parents, families and volunteers.
In conjunction with the officers, provide shepherding and leadership in all areas of ministry.
Assist corps officers to plan, organize and implement spiritual education, including Bible Studies, Sunday School curriculum, Small Groups, chapel and others as needed for respective ministries.
Coordinate and strategize with Ministry Team to bridge Tustin Ranch corps to Creator's Corner Preschool and Henley After School programs through events, activities, schedule visits regularly to engage and connect with families.
Assist with quarterly outreach events and family events planned by the Ministry Team.
Work in conjunction with efforts by the Ministry Team to promote Christianity and Salvation Army programs within the target community during already-scheduled Community Outreach events and programs.
Assist with Salvation Army outreach programs, including Summer Camp and VBS, as needed.
Build networks with community organizations and people to connect the congregation with the community for a strong program. The pastor will look for new ministry partnership opportunities.
Leadership & Training -
Supervise volunteers and employee leaders who assist with the above-mentioned programs and events.
Recruit, train and place volunteer leaders who will assist with traditional programs, creative worship and/or events.
Clearly communicate needs for volunteers from the public to the Volunteer Coordinator via your supervisor.
Be aware of, implement and ensure volunteers are trained in Child Safety (Protecting the Mission) when working with minors.
The pastor will work with other leaders to learn about curriculum and other resources available for intergenerational ministry in order to help people select appropriate resources for study and growth.
Visitation and Follow-up -
Conduct visitation and other pastoral care of corps members and their families.
Follow-up with visitors from events.
Special Event Logistics Coordinator for Corps Outreach Events
Assist with logistics in planning special events including set up, advertising, operations and clean up
Drive shuttle bus as needed
Attend Corps Ministry Meetings including but not limited to Sunday worship, weekly bible studies, special events, overnight retreats/camps as needed as well as Divisional and Territorial events as directed.
Perform other duties as directed.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability
to lift up to 30 lbs.
By virtue of its direct contact with, and representation to people who engage in Salvation Army programs, people who demonstrate an understanding of The Salvation Army's Christian mission are required for this position. Salvation Army soldiers are preferred.
BA required. MA in divinity, biblical studies, theology or related field preferred.
Five years of ministry experience across all age groups preferred.
Experience supervising and managing professional staff and volunteers.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Driving Test and clean MVR check (if applicable).
A criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
Must have ability to work with, direct, and relate well with co-workers, community members, and guests/clients.
Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
Must possess good relationship skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
