A client in South Houston, close to NRG Stadium, is seeking a Program Analyst to create HUD Entitlement applications and evaluate new construction, Infrastructure, and Major/Minor Rehabilitation programs.  This role will ensure potentially funded projects are compliant with applicable regulations and guidelines.
Program Analyst Responsibilities
  • Maintain documents, files and correspondence while assisting with program-specific application processes
  • Review and evaluate proposals and other submissions as needed
  • Compose, edit, submit and manage funding/grant proposals, outgoing correspondence, memos, and files
  • Process and maintain records of the Annual Action Plan amendments and Project Sheets for the Annual Action Plan projects
  • Respond to information requests generated through mail, e-mail, and telephone contact
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Program Analyst Qualifications
To be considered for the Program Analyst position, you will need the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance Construction Management, Social Science, or related field
  • A minimum of one year experience within a governmental or institutional entity
  • Working knowledge of federal guidelines and regulations relating to housing and community development specifically programs funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or similar programs
  • Must have good time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented attitude for interactions with staff, applicants, elected officials, and the general public
