Job Description
Maintenance Technician
Our client is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic/ Technician to install, repair, and maintain plant equipment to provide maximum safety, quality and performance of all production and support operations. They are also to preserve and maintain all physical structures ground, including electrical, piping and utility networks.

  • Report all safety violations and unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor, Plant Manager, or Safety Coordinator.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures as established by the company when performing any tasks, including LOTO.
  • Diagnose problems or potential issues, replace and repair parts, follow up with production to assure problem is resolved
  • Work with Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to determine daily and weekly requirements, projects, and timing.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment as defined and when required by the companies PM program.
  • Make scheduled and unscheduled repairs on all machines and related equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Ensure all preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and tools is properly documented and submitted to the Plant Manager/Maintenance Supervisor
  • Perform routine inventory of spare parts, supplies, and tools and submit requisitions for parts to the Plant Manager/Maintenance Supervisor for proper approval and authorization to help maintain proper stock levels.
  • Setup and operate lathes, milling machines, drills, and grinders to fabricate and/or repair machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and other tools
  • Utilize the most effective form of communication with employees, managers, co-workers, clients, and vendors
  • Display a willingness to make decision, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, support and explain the reasoning and measure in your decision-making process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to: use hands and arms to reach; use hands to handle, feel or finger; talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, and / or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Education or experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of strong mechanical , hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, including installing and troubleshooting 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480V 3 phase systems, PLC, and fabrication experience
  • Strong OSHA compliance knowledge
  • Experience plumbing, carpentry, welding, and vehicle servicing preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Able to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems, database software, internet software, inventory software, spreadsheet software, and word processing
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
