Accounting Manager

Opening for Accounting Manager to prepare and manage all financial procedures. Applicant must be flexible and adaptable, work well within a team, have the ability to multi-task, as well as manage communications with friendliness and professionalism. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets and budget amendments

• Present and explain financials to board with professionalism

• Analyze financial reports and participate in forecasting and strategic planning

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

• Enter routine journal entries

• Manage month end close procedures and ensure timely and accurate closing results, including performing inquiries, as needed, to ensure accuracy of data

• Prepare accurate and timely tax returns and process payroll taxes

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems

• Oversee the auditing process and work closely with auditor to provide accurate information

• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting or other Business related field with a minor in Accounting required; CPA preferred but not required

• Two years of experience in accounting field required

• Experience with non-profit preferred

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills

• Professional communication and presentation skills

• Work well within a team and independently

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions

• Good knowledge of accounting software

• Excellent computer skills

• Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Google Applications required

• Attention to detail and strong time-management skills

• Ability to work with tight deadlines
