Customer Service Representative Customer Service Rep at The Beer Wall at Food & Beverage

The Plex is your premier destination for family fun, event planning, sports, dining, parties, and more. Our 3 operating businesses offers 240,000 square feet of entertainment space under one roof, you'll find everything you need for fun, fitness, family activities, food & beverage, parties, and social events. Open 7-days a week, our facility offers an arcade of games, bocce ball, bouncy houses, wall climbing, cornhole, darts, pizza, sushi, tapas, a vast beer wall and so much more.

Food & Beverage @ The Plex provides three restaurants and a bar for our customers and guests: Flights Restaurant, Sushi Confidential, Pizza at the Plex by Bibos. We are currently hiring for full or part time Customer Service Representative for our Beer Wall in our Food & Beverage area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience:

  • Ensure all guests entering the venue are greeted appropriately and swiftly and that they are provided the most up to date information regarding the programs, activities, and food & beverage offered.
  • Escort all patrons to their desired location within the facility.
  • Create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere in the facility by adjusting the music and lighting.
  • Answer all phone calls.
  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy, including but not limited to food & beverage and onsite activities.
  • Monitor and observe guest’s experience to ensure they are satisfied and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Food and Beverage:

  • Answers any questions about the beer wall. Should be knowledgeable about the various flavors
  • Collect payments from guests, includes handling cash transactions.
  • Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Use POS systems for beverage orders, and handle monetary transactions, including cash and credit card.
  • Answer any questions about menu items and explain to guests how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
  • Inform guests of menu changes and daily specials.

Facility Cleanliness:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitization of the restaurant, tap wall desk, and entire facility.
  • Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or stocking and cleaning bathroom.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
  • Clean and sanitize tables or counters after guests have finished dining.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 year experience in bartending strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required.
  • Previous experience and ability to handle money and proficiency in operating a point-of-sale system
  • Basic understanding of beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, or in accordance with state law

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to write, speak, read, hear and see
  • Standing for prolonged periods
  • Walking, kneeling, bending
  • Lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Equipment / function set-up and take-down


* Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.*
