The Phillip Charles Group has been servicing the local metro Detroit area for the past 30 years and has built incredibly strong partnerships with our clients, candidates and employees. We have worked with our current client for the past 22 years and they are looking for a Customer Service Clerk for a temp to hire position based out of their Romulus, Mi. location

Liaison Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between ocean LCL warehouse and Control Tower
  • Customer service responsibilities such as maintaining communication with vendors, shippers, clients, carriers and offices throughout the process
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to problem solve unique business challenges
  • Processing inbound/outbound manifests for freight arriving to/leaving the warehouse
  • Resolving issues regarding client requirements including tracking, tracing, and correcting data errors
  • Managing incoming/outgoing shipments, verifying cargo details, validating, and resolving discrepancies with warehouse
  • Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor, manager, or branch manager
  • Entering data in PO management system, updating details
  • Managing control tower cargo inquiries
  • Managing, notifying, and resolving OS&D
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned regarding supporting

8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday $15.00 to $18.00

Liaison Skills Needed:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with working in a teamwork

Education, and Experience Requirements:

  • Recent customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Data entry experience
