Job Description: PCMC is hiring part-time instructors and substitute teachers for Play and Learn playgroup classes, childbirth education classes, music and movement classes, art and music classes, language classes, and community partnership programs. Proposals for other classes will also be considered.
Community Partnerships include Pueblo Del Mar, a transitional housing program, and Army Community Services.
PCMC expects this position to grow as programs expand and grow, making this an ideal position for someone seeking a meaningful position that can provide growth opportunities. Hours are flexible but will require some weekends to accommodate programs and weekend community outreach.
Deliver an evidence-based curriculum and facilitate group learning.
Cultivate positive relationships with community partners.
Actively promote outreach to meet enrollment goals.
Submit required paperwork such as registration, attendance, lesson plans, and evaluations in a timely manner, as outlined by the Program Director.
Set up and clean up the classroom
General communications with participants and community partners to ensure program participation
Other duties as assigned.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Previous experience/education in early childhood development or relevant field of study.
experience as a parent educator with certification in Positive Parenting, Circle of Security or other parent education program
personal experience working with postpartum/perinatal maternal mental health support
Previous experience delivering interactive educator who is comfortable working with both parents and children between the ages of 0 to 3.
Bilingual English and Spanish or Indigenous Languages
Comfortability with delivering the program in person and virtually.
Comfortability working with parents in transitional housing.
Experience working with Teen Parents.
Previous work with underserved communities and families.
Experienced with Excel, Word, and Google Workspace with excellent written communication skills.
Experience working with online analytics to increase social media impacts

Benefits and Compensation:
Pay Rate is $20 to $25 per hour based on experience/ apx 10 - 15 hours a week with the opportunity to expand hours and programs expand

In addition, we offer free and bilingual postpartum/maternal mental health support groups for women and caregivers including a Warmline support service.
