The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Director of Youth Services

 

 

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a passionate and driven individual to take on the Director of Youth Services position that oversees our Children’s Behavioral Health Home, Homeless Youth Services and WRAP programs.

The Director of Youth Services is a management position of an administrative and supervisory nature. The position contributes to the accomplishment of the Agency’s mission through the provision of planning and directing the major activities of the program; supervising program staff, working with clients, performing administrative duties – ensuing adequate occupancy, budgeting and expense monitoring overseeing the collection of client one-to-one data; preparing program reports; and conducting on-going evaluation of and improvements in program activities. This position will supervise, Case Managers, Care Coordinators and an Administrative Assistant. 

This is a Full Time, Salaried position located in South Portland.

 

Qualifications:

  • MA/MS in social work or human services field is required. 
  • LCSW required.
  • Clinical and administrative experience with a minimum of 2-years direct service experience in a children’s mental health/developmental disabilities field, and 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively required. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings required. 
  • Ability to make home visits that may require activities such as climbing stairs required. 
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and email is required. 
  • Must be able to able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check and must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list. 
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work. A good driving record is required.
