Other Membership Services IAAO provides an annual conference, seminars, an online career center, and support to 92 chapters and affiliates.Position SummaryThe Executive Director provides leadership toward the achievement of IAAO s philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives and is responsible for the general, day-to-day administration of the affairs of the IAAO.
The Executive Director reports to and works with the Board of Directors in developing strategies which support the mission of the IAAO, developing and implementing the strategic goals and objectives of the IAAO, and enabling the Board to effectively fulfill its governance function.The ideal candidate for this position possesses: Executive experience in a professional association with an active, participatory membership including global chapters. Skills in monitoring and sustaining sound financial performance and experience in identifying routes to potential members to continue the growth in membership. Ability to envision and convey the organization s strategic future to the staff, board, volunteers and members (Mission driven and within objectives of Strategic Plan).
Experience in executive-board partnership, the ability to provide clear information and strong recommendations to a governing board and balance the perspective of staff and board.
