We are looking for a talented SQL Developer to lead our development team in a busy law office. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, modifying, and implementing new or existing automations and reports, all database development, internal and external database management and Power BI project management. Your duties will include liaising with the all department managers, writing clean, scalable code, creating testing protocols, fixing bugs, and deploying projects.

To ensure success as a SQL Developer, you should have advanced knowledge of programming languages, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work to a deadline and to create high-level programs that perfectly meet the needs of the firm and our clients.


  • Meeting with department managers to discuss the scope of software projects.
  • Supervising and guiding the programming team.
  • Managing all programming projects.
  • Analyzing existing programs for modification, accuracy and functionality purposes.
  • Researching and designing new reporting systems, websites, programs, and applications.
  • Writing and implementing, clean, scalable code.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging code.
  • Verifying and deploying reporting systems.
  • Evaluating user feedback.
  • Recommending and executing program improvements.
  • Maintaining software code and security systems.
  • Creating technical documents and training staff.
  • Delegating tasks to team members.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments.
  • Maintain and create new tables, queries, and field mapping from various systems to integrate into BI reporting.
  • Own the strategy for design, development, and maintenance of various databases.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages including Python, JavaScript, HTML5, Java, C++, SQL and PHP.
  • Demonstrated strong project management /task prioritization skills, quick problem –solving skills, and effective communication (“data translation”) and collaboration skills.
  • 6-7 years of hand-on SQL and database management experience.
  • Strong technical and translation abilities to understand, build, manipulate and summarize complex data and architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid experience in coding.
  • Knowledge of software systems and frameworks including AnglularJS, Git, GitHub, and .NET.
  • Experience with object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with development technologies.
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually on a project.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
