We are seeking a Data Analyst on a contract basis in our client’s Global Marketing Analytics team to provide data expertise as we improve the growth, retention, engagement, and brand affinity of the eaters on our client's platform. In the role you'll be part of and work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of marketing, design, development, and program managers.

The candidate will possess a passion for improving techniques, processes, tracking, analytical insights and technology used by marketing to achieve our bold goals. This candidate will help address the complex challenges of experiment design, marketing effectiveness, contact strategy, return on investment, user behavior and channel effectiveness using state of the art machine learning models.

 

What You’ll Do: 


  • Design business analysis, create and maintain dashboards to track business trends on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Create necessary data pipelines to power reports or dashboards.

  • Work with the marketing and engineering team to drive the development of analytical tools and visualizations.

  • Perform root cause analysis to provide insights and suggestions to drive business decisions.

  • Understand performance and ROI of different marketing channels for both acquisition and engagement; bring solutions to optimize marketing efforts.

  • Be a key driver of marketing strategy, by thinking beyond immediate analysis to understand the long-term implications of actions.

Must Haves: 


  • 3 years experience with SQL databases.

  • Experience with A/B tests.

  • Experience visualizing data and creating reports, e.g. Tableau, excel/google sheets.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Expertise with SQL databases - ideally Vertica, Redshift, and/or Hadoop.

  • Familiarity with statistics, regression analysis, and causal analysis.

  • Experience identifying and adapting to imperfect data.

  • Experience with Python, R, or another scripting language.

  • Ability to facilitate experimentation and conduct experiment analysis.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field, or commensurate work experience.

Hours & Location: 

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customer’s San Francisco, CA office once it is determined safe to do so.

Please Note: In order to create a safe, productive work environment, our client is requiring all contractors who plan to be onsite to be fully vaccinated according to the CDC guidelines. Prior to coming into our offices, contractors will be required to attest that they are fully vaccinated.
