Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the execution of the sales tactics as they relate to the company’s sales and marketing plan

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes Sales and Marketing plan initiatives as directed by department leadership
  • Responsible for moving clients through our customer journey
  • Responsible for contacting each account within a territory every sales cycle
  • Responsible for creating revenue-generating sales opportunities
  • Develops and maintains client and industry relationships to monitor our industries and identify new opportunities
  • Travel to current customers and potential prospects
    • Plan visits and plot trips to customers and prospects
    • Distributes professional marketing material in the field
    • Successfully execute meetings with decision-makers
  • Monthly reporting of results, the pipeline of future growth, and personal activity
  • Captures and reports marketing research data relating to customers’ needs to management
  • Acquires news, information, and pricing on market competition & reports information clearly
  • Operates within budget constraints
  • Develop knowledge of product lines and industry brands
  • Participates in industry trade shows and events as needed

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify areas of improvement of the sales, marketing, and purchasing department
  • Support teammates
  • Organize travel plans for customer site visits

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to fifteen (15) pounds

COMPETENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, resolving issues while maintaining the highest standard of empathy and compassion for customers’ needs and concerns
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and highly self-motivated
  • Able to change focus frequently and often while being detail-oriented and well organized
  • Ability to effectively adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong Phone and communication skills
  • Ambitious, Success-driven, and self-motivated
  • Socially appropriate and aware
  • Proactively makes decisions and develops solutions
  • Willingness to travel independently
  • Have the ability to set priorities and maintain the discipline to carry them out
  • Updates and maintains customer file – customer profile and contacts
  • All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or business-related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a professional sales position or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of overhead door industry and products
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM recommended
