Ordnance Logistics HAZMAT Inspector/ Shipping Clerk

Mayvin® is currently seeking an experienced Ordnance Logistics HAZMAT Inspector/ Shipping Clerk to coordinate with supported commands and prepare required documentation to facilitate movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands. . This position will be located on Joint Expeditionary Base–Little Creek, VA. 

 

You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered.

 

A Secret Clearance will be needed on day one of employment.

 

This position is contingent upon contract award.


  • Coordinates with supported commands and prepare required documentation to facilitate movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands.
  • Provides detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation. Use technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities.


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred but not required.
  • Have HAZMAT Certifier certification for shipping.

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Current Secret Clearance is required.

Required

  • Have in-depth knowledge and experience related to the duties of a shipping clerk garnered from at least a minimum of three (3) years’ experience within the past 5 years.
  • Ordnance HAZMAT shipping experience.
  • Have HAZMAT Certifier certification for shipping. 
  • Documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Membership.

Desired

  •  Previous NSW or SOCOM Experience.
