Job Description

RN, Unit Manager – Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7am to 3pm

On call only every 8th weekend

We have 94 beds, 3 shifts, every other weekend rotations and shift differentials. Additional training and support is always available.

Our resident population is primarily seniors with varying levels of acuity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Long Term Care and Short Term Rehab Resident Care
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure high quality, patient centered care
  • Ensure that Resident and Family needs are heard, understood and fulfilled
  • Work with Admissions team to prepare for the arrival of new residents/families
  • Supervise, direct and assist skilled nursing staff with support from charge nurses
  • Ensure high quality of care both clinical and non-clinical for Long Term Care and Short Term Rehab residents
  • Keep Director of Clinical Services and Administrator advised as appropriate
  • Coordinate and complete paperwork with attention to detail

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE – Minimum 1 year
  • MUST HAVE LONG TERM HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE
  • Nurse with current CT RN license in good standing
  • Must possess strong nursing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Electronic Medical Records experience
  • Supervisor skills including teaching, coaching, holding accountable
