The Mars Agency is seeking a group of collaborative, curious, self-starting and adaptable college juniors to take advantage of an exciting internship program. We’ve designed this program to help entry-level talent better understand our business while creating a forum for fresh ideas.
This is a full-time (40 hours weekly for 10-12 weeks) paid position, mid-May through early August, and Interns will work in person in our Detroit metro HQ office. Please note, no relocation is available, and candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, and reside in the area for the duration of the program. Interns will be assigned a group project, and will also work as a part of a team in the Creative, Client Leadership, Customer Development, Commerce Media or Strategic Planning departments. At the end of the internship period, the team will present their group project findings to a team of clients and The Mars Agency leaders, and then to the entire agency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with internship team to provide insightful and audacious ideas for our Fortune 500 clients
- Develop and present these ideas to senior leadership team
- Gain a thorough working knowledge of shopper marketing through team shadowing and assigned day-to-day responsibilities
- Work with team on timely, on-budget, on-strategy client deliverables
- Report on competitive research, develop project recaps and assist with client service, planning or creative support as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant field
- Thirst for keeping abreast of innovation, trends and current events
- Willingness to pitch in at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Resourcefulness, tenacity and the ability to work through a challenge
