POSITION SUMMARYThe HR Generalist works closely with The Legacy leadership on human resources initiatives and programs including recruiting, employee relations, information management and administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.This position has dotted line, reporting to the Executive Director.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReviews all employee changes to include new hires, terminations, employee status changes, benefit records, security system, retro pay, etc.Tracks data for FMLA, annual performance reviews, 90-day reviews, etc.Prepares materials and distributes information updates, policy and procedural changes, benefit information and any other HR-related communications.Maintains team member communication boards.Trains managers and team members on the use of HRIS, time and labor and benefits administration systems in partnership with the Payroll Coordinator.Processes on the job injuries and reports the data to Executive Director and... Director of HR.Investigates all injuries.Prepares and posts annual OSHA logs.Serves on the Safety Committee and provides updates to the committee for on the job injuries.Maintains all team member HR files and certification/skill tracking.Assists with managing HRIS.Manages recruiting function for The Legacy Midtown Park community.Coordinates and leads all orientation processes including new hire and general orientation.Responds to all unemployment claims and coordinates hearings with appropriate leadership staff.Provides support to leadership staff for policy interpretation and conflict resolution.Reviews all disciplinary action notices/situations, participates in team member counseling and keeps HR Director informed of all issues.Prepares and analyzes for the HR Director the quality initiative data such as turnover, timely reviews, on the job injuries, and others as assigned.Presents this data to Leadership team.Assists with the planning and communication of annual benefit open enrollment.Coordinates with the HR Director and community leadership staff on training, retention and recognition activities for the Legacy community to include quarterly luncheons, monthly lunch & learns, years of service awards and annual parties.Provides support to leadership team to include community events, in-service postings, and other special events and projects as approved by the HR Director.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Educational Requirements and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field.PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.Minimum 3 years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.Employee relations and recruiting experience required.Healthcare and Senior Living experience preferred but not required.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor's (Required)Experience:Human Resources: 3 years (Required)Employee relations: 1 year (Preferred)Recruiting: 2 years (Preferred)Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:PHR or SHRM Certification (Preferred)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:No
