Job Description
Kaizen Business Development Coordinators to support Kaizen’s mid- and long-term growth strategies. Kaizen’s current portfolio spans a wide range of technical sectors and we seeking the right person to contribute to designing and securing impactful projects for Kaizen. The Business Development Coordinator will provide advanced support to new business strategy and development efforts, including participating on proposal teams.   • Captures and documents relevant information during the pre-solicitation stage of a proposal, and completes tasks such as preparing RFI responses, drafting corporate capabilities statements and performing client analysis;
  • Conducts desk research and gathers information about relevant contacts to inform strategy for the capture phase of new business opportunities with USAID and the US Department of State;
  • Regularly checks relevant external information sources, such as, for updates on solicitations, keeps internal BD Tracker and associated tracking system up to date, and disseminates updates accordingly;
  • Responsible for populating trackers and internal databases with institutional knowledge and analyzing trends; Develops the initial competitive analysis for capture and proposal opportunities;
  • Researches, networks, approaches and liaises with potential subcontracting partners;
Proposal Development:
  • Participates on proposal teams and may contribute as writer for sections including but not limited to: past performance reports (PPRs), corporate capabilities, CVs, cost compliance, etc;
  • Serves as proposal line role mentor for other coordinator staff;
  • Recruits and provides logistical support to new business consultants, which includes collecting verification documents, drafting agreements, coordinating travel logistics, etc;
  • Supports company new business efforts by providing recommendations based on market and resourcing knowledge for proposals;
  • Contributes to technical practice(s) as appropriate.
BD Knowledge Management/Sharing and Capacity Building:
  • Updates and maintains internal files, which includes collecting and saving resumes, entering data into the internal recruitment database, and keeping the talent tracker up to date;
  • Serves as a resource for building employees’ capacity on new business; shares knowledge about line roles, facilitates new business orientation sessions, connects employees with new business opportunities and training;
  • Creates knowledge documents, such as country one-pagers for travelers, and regional new business status reports for senior management.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating Kaizen BD Accounts/Subscriptions to include Devex, GovTribe, etc;
  • BD account/subscription/consultant invoice processing;
  • Schedules and coordinates team meetings, which includes collecting agenda items and drafting meeting agendas;
  • Performs other duties as required.

Experience working on USAID contract proposal
Minimum Bachelors Degree
Knowledge in: Microsoft Outlook
Knowledge in: Microsoft Office
