Indian Creek, ILDescription:
Help move the teams systems, decouple it, move it into GCP and start leveraging the kafka and airflow infrastructure to push the system to be more real time
real time processing - we want to know real time on shipping.
Restructuring the Supply Chain is in the very early stages - must be very comfortable with ambiguity
Looking to give a full time visibility to the entire supply chain process - need better visibility at the international level
Data intensive applications - using Python, Cloud experience, Airflow, Kafka and heavy data storage technologies like SQL, Google Big Query, NoSQL, CI/CD is embedded in the engineering process, same as testing
Migrating to GCP, so any cloud experience is great, GCP is a BIG PLUS
Distributed programming and Micro services is a must
Event Driven - turning event driven to event driven - Real Time
Camera On during the day
Slack is heavily used
Team gels nicely - good chemistry
Collaborative environment - small iterative process
Agile, 2 week sprints
Staff Engineer (Architect) - Supply Chain Visibility & Planning
Through technology and innovation, we make it possible for shoppers to quickly and easily find exactly what they want from a selection of more than 14 million items across home furnishings, décor, home improvement, housewares and more. Partnering with Product, Experience Design, Analytics and business leaders across Wayfair, our Engineering teams ensure that we’re building technology that solves important customer problems in elegant, scalable, measurable ways.
