The Total Rewards Senior Manager, operates as the subject matter expert on all compensation and benefits programs and initiatives. This individual is responsible for leading the design, deployment, execution, and management of compensation and benefit programs and initiatives in support of The Joint's employer brand proposition to attract and retain the best available talent and create a positive employee experience.
Compensation
- Manage survey participation and submission, monitor, and evaluate benchmark data, trend information and economic projections related to similar jobs in comparable industries, recommending changes as appropriate to maintain a competitive market position and internal equity.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team to ensure balance of a competitive market position and internal equity while making competitive offers to prospective new employees.
- Conduct robust and meaningful data analysis, including job leveling and position mapping, to drive alignment with the business operations and effective decision making.
- Lead and support annual performance and merit review process including data preparation and records retention to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate compensation trainings and presentations for the company and HR Department throughout the year.
- In partnership with Finance & Accounting, oversee Equity Management Program, including system management (Certent), participant communication, data integrity, and records management.
- Work closely with the HR Operations and Finance teams to create and support scalable, efficient, and compliant processes.

- Evaluate, develop, implement, and support market competitive benefits programs that align with company Total Rewards strategy and scale for growth.
- Keep current on market trends, business challenges, and priorities by gathering competitive market data.
- Evaluate current programs, providing process and program improvements.
- Oversee and project manage the annual open enrollment preparation and activities, including reviewing open enrollment materials and facilitating employee communications.
- Actively manage benefits vendors relationships by reviewing performance and addressing opportunities for improvement on a timely basis.
- Oversee the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the plans to ensure flawless benefit administration and to support a positive employee experience.
- Partner internally (finance, talent acquisition) and externally (consultants, vendors) to improve the administration of programs.
- Assist with plan and program compliance and legal requirements and provide day-to-day interpretation and problem resolution.
- Remain current on all government regulations involving payroll and benefits, including Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA and other statutory regulations.
- Five plus years of Benefits experience including plan design, program management, vendor management, administration, compliance, and communications.
- Compensation management experience: understanding of compensation fundamentals including job evaluation methodologies, market pricing, comp structures, pay ranges, comp auditing and reporting. Previous payroll administration experience a plus.
- Experience managing compensation programs: project managing, supporting HR partners as well as management, preparing and analyzing reporting.
- SOX compliance experience and knowledge highly desired.
- Excellent communication, project management and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated individual who thrives in a rapidly changing, fast paced organization
- Ability to prepare and deliver executive level presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style to effectively build relationships with HR business partners, cross-functional teams, external vendors and other key stakeholders.
- High integrity with positive customer service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a strong working knowledge of Excel
- HRIS experience necessary, HRIS implementation or conversion experience preferred.
