 POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and coordination of the Maintenance Program by updating databases, conducting repairs, writing reports, scheduling appointments, providing customer service, and completing other related clerical functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  1. Focus on increasing plant reliability, performance efficiency, minimize unplanned plant interruptions through planning and collaboration, and reduce costs associated to failures.
  2. Prioritize, review, and make edits to PM/PdM (Preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance) plans and checklists to ensure quality, efficiencies, and accuracy.
  3. Obtains blueprints, drawings, pictures, instructional manuals, and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources to clarify and improve asset condition and PM/PdM effectiveness.
  4. Identify and coordinate necessary steps and resources required to complete assigned work with enough lead time. Resources may include tools and equipment, permitting requirements, drawings and manuals, work scope and job instructions, operating conditions, safety hazards, etc.
  5. Estimate resource time (labor hours) required by skill/craft, work duration and cost of parts and materials required for various repairs and preventative maintenance items.
  6. Arrange and manage staging and kitting of parts and materials as appropriate.
  7. Develop equipment specific failure analysis reports and identify process improvement possibilities.
  8. Monitor trends and analysis of maintenance planning process and work plan execution. Makes recommendations for resolving issues and implements process efficiencies.
  9. Maintenance of Key Performance Indicators, KPI’s (eg. PM/PdM on-time completion). Present and report out KPI’s as needed.
  10. Responsible for scheduling, tracking, and reporting information related to preventative maintenance to all departments affected.
  11. Partner with Maintenance Supervisor, Mechanics, Production Supervisors, and Production Managers in determining an appropriate schedule for weekly workloads.
  12. Facilitate workflow planning meetings.
  13. Assist with outage and shutdown planning including documentation, scheduling, coordination, risk assessments, and execution.
  14. Support the Parts and Equipment Supervisor who is responsible for preparing, reviewing, placing, and tracking purchases through the process, including the daily monitoring, and ordering of stockroom parts. Inputs all changes into the inventory system including system updates. Provide accurate receiving documentation and inventory reporting as required.
  15. Establish, improve, and maintain a parts kitting program for routine maintenance (PM/PdM) and planned maintenance activities.

Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) from two-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Computerized PM/PdM systems desirable but not required
  • Minimum 5-years work experience in the skilled trades
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Some level of leadership experience is desirable

Specific Skills: Bilingual- English and Spanish required. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills in both languages. Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Office. Basic mathematics, reading, and writing skills. Must be customer oriented and possess excellent interpersonal skills to relate to employees in all levels of the organization.

Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 3-6 months

Pay Rate: 14-18 hr DOE

Work Schedule: Mon- Thurs 8:00 am-6:00 pm Friday 8:00 am -12:00 pm
