Job Description

Contract: 6 months (contract-to-hire opportunity based on performance)

Location: 501 Route 22 Bridgewater NJ 08807 United States

Hybrid schedule: Work 2 days in office

The Lead Financial Consultant will play an integral role in helping MetLife track and monitor achievement of large-scale transformational goals. Specifically, the Lead Financial Consultant will partner with key leaders from Finance, Global Operations, Human Resources and Information Technology to ensure the successful delivery of near-term focused targets while creating a sustainable platform for long-term growth. The position will help expand and pivot the Finance function’s role to that of a provider of sharp, proactive, timely insights and analysis which drive improved business decisions and – as a result – greater business outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include financial modeling, forecasting, savings tracking, reporting and providing insights and analysis. The right person will have strong financial acumen, prior management reporting experience, Microsoft Power BI expertise and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across functional areas and with different levels.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage detailed financial models that incorporate complex and evolving baseline assumptions. Produce comprehensive benefit and expense forecasts
• Partner with key leaders and program managers to ensure the successful on-time and on-target delivery of agreed-upon savings value goals associated with transformational initiatives
• Develop creative, effective, robust, user-friendly management reporting and tools that can be scaled across Global Technology and Operations organization
• Use advanced analytics for possible contingencies (i.e., sensitivity analytics, ROI, etc.) and analyze risks and opportunities as a result of actions and alternatives
• Utilize data analytics toolsets such as Microsoft Power BI to help provide leadership dashboards that support the decision-making process
• Act as a primary finance partner for all data requests in order to obtain one source of the truth
• Provide thought leadership and financial modeling support on business case development
• Liaise with business and corporate CFOs to ensure reported results are visible in the financials and monitor the metrics related to non-financial program achievements
• Identify program financial trends, issues, and risks, providing guidance to senior leadership
• Prepare and present monthly findings to business and operations management
• Lead effort around recurring reconciliations between reporting sources
• Apply strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve challenges
• Promote use of knowledge management and other sharing processes for documentation

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
• Financial analysis and modeling experience in public or private company environment
• BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, OR equivalent experience
• Completion of, or working towards CPA, CFA or MBA highly desired
• Prior experience developing Microsoft Power BI models and solutions
• Advanced Microsoft Excel with proven experience in building complex financial models
• Prior experience with financial and management reporting, including an understanding of financial practices, processes, and organizational structures is preferred
• Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret and integrate financial information
• Past experience with labor modeling and workforce management analysis is desired
• Ability to incorporate Enterprise-wide Finance knowledge into broader based strategies
• Experienced in complex project planning and execution with a service based approach
• Exceptional, analytical, prioritization, presentation development and program management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation needed to build partnerships and work successfully with functional and regional Business, Finance and IT teams
• Ability to lead and/or work simultaneously on multiple large, complex projects
