Board Certified Behavior Analyst

The Hope Learning Center is seeking a full-time or part-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to create an atmosphere where students affected by developmental disorders can learn and excel to their greatest potential. The BCBA will also improve education for the students through curriculum development, teacher training, family support, outreach, technology, and public awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis, Education or Psychology
  • Behavior Specialist License AND Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification
  • Completion of 8-Hour Supervision Course Psychology
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental delays
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 34 State Criminal History Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementation of skill assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP) and functional assessment measures
  • Development of programs, procedures and training materials for staff involved with students with challenging behaviors for the purpose of enhancing programs for students and ensuring that program operations are in compliance with established guidelines
  • Conduct workshops, trainings, in-service presentations, etc. in classroom management techniques and other topics for the purpose of developing skills and establishing effective relationships with behaviorally or emotionally disturbed students.
  • Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines
  • Provide consultation to school districts, agencies, and families
  • Aid in resolving student behavioral problems
  • Provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support and remediation for students in all areas when needed
  • Communicate with treatment team about student progress and needs
  • Ensure accurate and reliable data collection on all IEP goals and other target skills related to ABA curriculum
  • Advise parents and teachers on implementation of programs
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress
  • Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the Executive Director*
