Delivery Lead - Program Managment

  • The IT Delivery Lead's focus is to deliver value by collaborating with the Product Owner, Production Support team, and scrum/ platforms teams to deliver scope of expected capabilities.        
  • Be an advocate of Agile practices and (where appropriate) SAFe best practices (e.g., epics, features, program backlog prioritization, train-level metrics).
  • Collaboration role focused on project leadership of HIG/onshore/offshore/vendor technical resources (across functions/technologies/value streams), including HR responsibilities for employee direct reports and securing necessary IT resources for the initiatives.        
  • Risk Management - anticipate what is coming in the next 30-90 days, and working across teams, developing mitigation plans and approach.
  • Develops resource plan including allocations and ensures IT time tracking and planning tools are loaded and kept current for staffing plans.
  • Manage the financials for assigned scrum teams, leveraging ITSC and PPM for forecasting and budget management.
  • Ensure code quality and other enterprise efforts for best practices are adopted (e.g. DevOps).
  • Provides content for Transition to Operations plan
  • Manages release coordination.
  • Coordinates requirements for environment build and preparation (Dev, SIT, QA, and PROD).
  • Requires and ensures compliance to established policies, standards, and guidelines, including IT risk management and control (e.g. security auditing).
  • Drives Technology Enablers, technical debt management, execution, and delivery in collaboration with the Value Stream Owner and Solution Architect.
  • Provide leadership to direct and indirect reports to ensure business deliverables are met, while providing timely coaching and feedback,
  • Engage and enable high performance through fostering an inclusive environment while maximizing agility through learning and talent

  • Strong Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
  • Strong Knowledge about Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Burn Down Metrics, Velocity, etc.
  • Experience applying Lean Thinking and Systems Thinking in large organizations
  • Resource Management Skills:  ability to determine supply and demand and obtain necessary resources across a matrixed organization to complete the work successfully.
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organizations and within matrix environment.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in managing large-scale, multi-project development teams.

    Preferred Certifications:         
  • Scrum Master industry certification.
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification.
  • SAFe Certified Scrum Master.
