Job Description:

Goddard School teachers play an active role in their students' education and development, setting the stage for a fun, engaging learning environment. These enthusiastic, creative educators design unique, personalized lesson plans to captivate young learners.

​The faculty looks for learning opportunities that correspond with the children’s natural interests. If the teachers have planned a lesson on the solar system but the children are fascinated by the rain falling outside, they change the subject of the lesson to focus on the weather. The teachers can also customize the lessons to meet the individual needs of each child.

Qualifications – vary, depending on classroom:

Education – all candidates must have **one** of the following:

• BA in Early Childhood Education, or related field
• AA in Early Childhood Education, or related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits in Education)
• Be currently enrolled in either a CDA or Associate's Degree program
• All candidates must **also** have the following:
• Experience working with young children; school-setting experience is preferred.
• Comfort with technology for lesson planning and parent communication.
• Mastery of the English language, as spoken and written, to permit effective communication with parents.

Job Type: Full-time, year-round

Hourly Wage: $12.75 to $20.00 /hour depending on qualifications
