The Goddard School’s Assistant Director has strong leadership skills, is an excellent communicator, and can motivate and inspire others.
Our Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in the management of the program and curriculum. As part of the management team, there may be additional business tasks that the Owner or Director will delegate. You will be working to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with rules and regulations. We are looking for a leader, problem solver, and critical thinker who will proactively address challenges before they arise. Added responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Compliance with state childcare licensing regulations.
- Projecting a positive attitude and motivates others while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate highly effective organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong commitment to teaching and education in early childhood, and maintains up-to-date knowledge on industry research and trends.
- Takes initiative to complete tasks, collaborate, and help others as needed.
- Ability to prioritize, adapt, and implement changes throughout the organization.
- Supports management in event planning, customer service, staff management, scheduling, opening and closing, and is highly dependable and reliable.

Engage with other early childhood professionals and continue to grow in your profession.
Associates or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field (Required).
3+ years of early childhood education experience (Required).
Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
Meets background check eligibility.
Works productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures.
Is highly motivated and takes direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Is dependable, adaptable, and enjoys working in teams.
