Part-time Kitchen Coordinator (7:00 AM - 2PM)

The Goddard School located at 2465 East West Connector, Austell GA 30106 is growing and we are looking to add to our awesome teaching staff. We are looking for the following positions:

KITCHEN COORDINATOR : PART-TIME

In our warm, loving atmosphere our highly qualified teachers support the healthy development of children from six weeks to six years. Our teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on the Goddard Developmental Goals and our monthly school theme. Lead teachers also complete other duties such as daily attendance reports, progress reports and parent conferences. The hands on efforts of the school owners and directors allow our teachers to focus on their children, lesson plans and teaching to ensure a fun filled day of learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The food handler is responsible for the duties, which may include the following:

• Ensuring the safe handling and preparation of all foods;
• Preparing menus that include healthy snacks;
• Ensuring that the menus are always in compliance with state and federal regulations;
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to food handling;
• Maintaining appropriate portion sizes;

Ordering food and paper products.

Qualified candidates must have strong written and verbal skills, PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE, and a desire to learn and implement the Goddard School Programs. Lead teachers should have an Early Childhood Education Degree, CDA or a degree in a related field with emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Prior experience in a preschool or childcare setting is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

A food handler must meet the following qualifications:

• the ability to prepare food (in food service states and where approved by GSI to prepare food) and serve food, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations;
• the ability to understand and comply with the franchisee's policies relating to food service and employment policies;
• the ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents;
• the ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies;

Additional Qualifications:

•Must be able to lift 40 pounds; Assume postures in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with children

•Must be able to sustain a high level of energy.

•Bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day; Stoop, sit on the floor

•Team Player and ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required

•Commitment to Professional Development

•Current First Aid and CPR certifications
