Accounting / Bookkeeping Assistant – Part Time

The GSB Group, Inc., specialized in providing quality financial IT professionals, is seeking an Accounting/Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated/highly dedicated/positive team player with attention to detail and deep knowledge of accounting administration and would be a vital part in the success of The GSB Group while assisting in a variety of accounting and bookkeeping related tasks.

Immediate attention will be given to those applicants that answer the pre-interview questions associated with this job.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Accounting/Payroll Manager
  • Data entry of payables/bills into QuickBooks, maintain and monitor payable reports
  • Pay bills
  • Assist in payroll accounting, reporting and other operations
  • Account Payable reports generation from QuickBooks, and saving other reports to Cloud
  • Assist in developing and analyzing reporting for business operations and budgets
  • Report analysis and findings to management team
  • Review time entries & expense reports weekly
  • Download statements & receipts, filing & scanning documents
  • Maintain communication with vendors
  • Credit card report and spreadsheet maintenance
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures
  • Other miscellaneous accounting related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • QuickBooks knowledge a MUST
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Professional, proactive and cordial
  • Self-starter with the ability to work alone
  • Dependable, knowledgeable and focused
  • Ability to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Experienced and proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

Location: Must report to office on Cudjoe Key

Hours: 8:30am – 11:30am (15-20 hrs/week)

Pay: Dependent on experience
