Electric Maintenance Technician Professionals – Join Our Team

What will my day-to-day look like?

Perform a wide variety of system maintenance requiring the knowledge and application of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and welding. Duties to include but not limited to installation, set up programming, troubleshooting and repair of machinery, instruments, controls, and related equipment. The individual will demonstrate advanced electrical troubleshooting skills, a thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, and the ability to install and maintain electrical systems. Work from sketches, equipment manuals, basic designs, specifications, and verbal instructions. Continue to keep abreast of new developments through study, schooling, etc. as necessary. Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations. Assist other maintenance personnel as well. Will assist in training when needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Your success will be because you are/have...

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.    Knowledge of computer operation and related software required.
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Since then, the company has expanded both its product lines and plant facilities. Today, the plant covers approximately 420,000 square feet and employs over 140 people working three shifts.

Electric Materials is the leader in manufacturing high-quality copper forgings, extrusions, castings, electric commutator, and AC rotors. Products are sold around the world and service the electrical power, mining, transportation, military, and architectural markets.
