Job Description

Immediate 12 month position available in Atlanta, GA.

Desired Qualifications:

Required:

  • With HS Diploma;5+years of scheduling and/or coordination of work activities or operations support or project management OR
  • With Associates or Bachelor's Degree; 2+years scheduling and/or coordination of work activities or project management, construction, engineering, or operations experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education or experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Preferred:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SharePoint
  • Construction, project/resource management, engineering, accounting or operations experience in utilities, gas distribution or related field
  • Knowledge and experience with cross bore impingement discovery, remediation, and program administration
  • Familiar with permit acquisition process
  • General understanding of regulatory compliance and/or quality audit reviews
  • Familiar with Power BI and GIS applications

Functional Expertise:

  • Creates project work packages for contractors (installation data, as-builts/mapping, customer/premise information, etc...)
  • Supports financial processes such as invoice processing, requisitions, budget accruals and variances
  • Manages storage and review of project deliverables files for quality and completeness
  • Develops project scopes and schedule to meet to budget and risk prioritization
  • Monitors project specific budget and/or cost per unit variances and identifies exceptions/variance
  • Prepares customer communication documents for utility, resident, contractor

Business Acumen:

  • Delivers project reporting to meet budget, schedule, and standards in multiple formats (dashboards, spreadsheets, presentation slides, etc.)
  • Coordinates with internal and/or external service providers, supports project stakeholders and external agencies to ensure work is performed as planned, permitted, and scheduled
  • Reviews and monitors data for quality and accuracy
  • Analyzes costs, benefits, and evaluates alternatives for projects to ensure cost effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Provides oversight to contractors and team members to support program requirements and change initiatives.
  • Recommends and assists with implementation of process improvements

Engagement:

  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders (Contractors, Asset Protection, DIMP, GIS, Land Management, Community Affairs, and state/county/city agencies etc...)
  • Facilitates internal and contractor team meetings and document agreements and results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with all levels of management to achieve shared business results
  • Address deficiencies head-on and works to develop and monitor corrective action plans.
  • Document new processes and standards to support new initiatives and enhancements.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by timely and thorough communication with individual customers, municipalities, and other governmental agencies at pre-inspection meetings and throughout the project (such as state DOTs, counties, etc.).

Driving Results:

  • Monitor field resource activity and make appropriate adjustments to subsequent work plans to meet company objectives
  • Reviews and approves Contractor Submittals including data, status logs, sketches, photos and video to ensure compliance with SOW, progress reports, field changes, invoices, company standards, and policies.
  • Provides program metrics for reporting to business unit owners and upper management.
  • Develops and maintains lessons learned documents and trend analysis.

Education, Certifications/Licenses:

Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree (Construction, Accounting, Management, Engineering or Related Field)

Required:

  • Experience working with city and county infrastructure and the operation of these systems
  • Knowledge and experience with cross bore impingement discovery, remediation, and program administration
  • Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Candidate will primarily work in an office environment
  • Candidate will spend approximately 10% of their time in the field visiting jobsites
  • Position will require 5% travel
