Job Description

The Dupont Circle is part of the Doyle Collection a family-owned collection of eight luxury and urban hotels superbly located in London, Dublin, Washington DC, Cork and Bristol.

The Dupont Circle has embarked on the completion of a significant multi-million-dollar investment programme. In line with the company's strategy to re-position the hotel within the luxury sector, the transformation comprises the re-design of public spaces including our new Doyle Bar and Pembroke restaurant in collaboration with Martin Brudnizki, an internationally acclaimed interior architecture and design studio, and the refurbishment of Level Nine, the hotel's exclusive suite floor.

We are actively seeking a dynamic Senior Business and Leisure Sales Manager to join our sales department, focusing on Corporate, Leisure and Entertainment markets. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Business Development, the Sr. Business and Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for delivering continued strong growth of group business within the luxury sector. Some specific responsibilities include the development of new markets within the transient segment and the management of key clients through outstanding guest relations and the delivery of exceptional experiences. Goals are achieved and exceeded through client solicitation, telemarketing, client inquiries and direct correspondence to ensure all revenue and room night goals are achieved and exceeded. This is a full-time salaried position with some scheduling flexibility required. Hiring immediately.


The following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities are required:

  • Minimum two year sales manager experience in a luxury hotel property
  • 2 or more years' experience in a pro-active on property or regional/area hotel sales leadership role in the luxury market.
  • Experience handling luxury consortia accounts such as Virtuoso, Signature, Travel Leaders.
  • Proven experience in meeting and exceeding individual revenue goals, and able to effectively manage maximize revenue while meeting client needs. Able to identify and optimize opportunities to upsell products and services
  • Excellence at proactive selling. Able to target key accounts, markets or segments. Also displays a proven ability to build and strengthen relationships with existing and new clients to include sales calls, entertainment and FAM trips.
  • Knowledge of hotel structure and inter-departmental operations
  • Effective written and oral communication with internal and external guests, excellent organizational skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Lifting and movement as required in an office setting and as a trade show exhibitor, able to
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
  • Ability to listen, speak and write English to ascertain and respond to client needs
  • Proficiency in PMS (Opera or Delphi), Word, Outlook, and Excel required
