Job Description


Position Overview: The Wellness Concierge is responsible for member client services, assisting with equipment use, instruction of proper use of electronics and overall cleanliness and sanitation of facility. This person will provide exceptional member service. Greet every member promptly and cheerfully to ensure our members feel as a welcome part of the CCLR fitness community. The Wellness Concierge will knowledgeably answer inquiries by phone and in person regarding services, fitness programs, and classes. Promptly address and/or resolve guest requests, complaints or suggestions in a friendly and courteous manner.


Position Responsibilities:

-Check in all members for Fitness Center use and classes, recording names and member numbers for billing purposes

-Assist with retail sales to members

-Display retail items, while maintaining and re-stocking all retail sales items as outlined by the Fitness Director.

-Secure and lock up all retail items before leaving

-Perform assigned cleaning responsibilities, restocking of restrooms, towels, water/ice station, gym wipes, ect. throughout the day.

-Make sure all weights and accessories are racked after use

-Report equipment issues to the Fitness Director

-Lead Fitness Orientations when needed

-Attend all required staff meetings

-Assume other duties as assigned

-Assist with new member orientations and introductions to the Fitness Center protocols, staff and management

-Fill out and turn in accident/incident reports immediately with one copy to the Fitness Director and another to the General Manager/COO so they may follow up

-Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate billings of all charges

-Maintain confidentiality of all member and guest records

-Return all phone calls by end of day

-Ensure the lobby is clean, neat and organized.

-Notify the Fitness Director of any issues with members, staff members, general facility condition or workout machines

-Assume all other duties as assigned by the fitness Director and Assistant Fitness Director as necessary




-HS Education in progress or completed

-A genuine desire to pursue a career in the fitness industry desired, but not required

-Prior customer service experience highly desired; though willing to train the right candidate

-Must always be personable, enthusiastic, and optimistic, with an outgoing personality, a genuine sense of gracious southern hospitality and willingness to serve

-Must possess a positive attitude and be collaborative team player

-Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings

-Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, MS Windows)

-A willingness to become proficient in the use of all fitness equipment, A/V and Bluetooth electronics to enable assisting of members on use of equipment

-Understand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethics

-Applicants are expected to be personable, organized, self-motivated and team oriented

-Must be certified American Red Cross or American Heart CPR/AED and First Aid within the first 30 days of employment while providing proof of certification and re-certification throughout tenure at CCLR.
