TITLE: Director Adult Treatment Services South County

ORGANIZATION: Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

LOCATION: Project Recovery Adult Treatment Center

QUALIFICATIONS:

Employment Standards

Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of alcohol/other drug related conditions including co-occurring disorder, understand service delivery and meet the following standards:

    • Master’s degree or PhD in health care administration, social work, psycho-social rehabilitation, psychology, counseling or related field and three years of related experience including two years of experience in program management and/ or in supervising staff;
    • Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Registered Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT), Clinical Social Worker (ACSW).
    • Knowledge of the dynamics of individual and group counseling, chemical dependency, and of basic pharmacology and specific withdrawal symptoms from all major categories of psychoactive drugs.
    • Ability to write appropriate professional letters and reports; communicate verbally with judges, attorneys, physicians, employers, and other professionals as well as clients from a wide range of socio–economic and cultural backgrounds.
    • Strong demonstrated leadership experience. Ability to create a working environment dedicated to delivery of best practices services that support the recovery goals of consumers.
    • Knowledge of regulations and funding sources.
  1. Strong organizational and administrative skills. With basic office computer ability to report data outcomes.
    • Ability to evaluate and supervise each treatment program objectively with solid and consistent direction.
    • Skill in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with other community providers, interagency partners, and stakeholders including consumers and family members.
    • Team player attitude with whatever it takes approach who takes ownership of work done and results accomplished; takes pride in delivering quality services to customers; seeks out opportunities to develop new and creative solutions and programs; imagines possibilities.
    • Affects successful outcomes for the organization through the use of leadership, collaboration, and understanding of the organization, its goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversight and management for all Adult services in south county including; Parinatal, mental health, alcohol and drug treatment. Provide oversight of the Adult Residential Treatment (ARTS) Program and Withdrawal Management services. Plans, directs and evaluates programs services that are offered to adults and family members impacted directly or indirectly by alcohol and other drug use and co-occurring conditions.
    • Selects and supervise staff including; multidisciplinary licensed and non-licensed professional, paraprofessional, interns, trainees and clerical support staff. Ensure they meet their oversight requirements including training.
    • Participates with Behavioral Wellness Quality Assurance for compliance with federal and state program and treatment, documentation and reporting standards. Follow Title 22 Guidelines & SB County Behavioral Wellness policies for client care and documentation
    • Gather data to prepare required reports for Be Well and grants management.
    • Represent CADA on committees composed of multi-agency representatives working to coordinate the provision of alcohol, drug and mental health services to youth.
    • Make presentations to various organizations to promote and advocate for related programs and initiatives.
    • Supervise Lead Counselor/ Managers to ensure that clients are provided with an intake and assessment within the required time frame and records required by funding sources are properly maintained.
    • Responsible for preparation and submission of all reports to funding sources in a timely manner.
    • Stay informed and current on evidence based practices for the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Provide trainings as appropriate.
