Outside Sales Representative - Entrance Systems

Outside Sales personnel serves contractors, end users, as well as the customer that requires field visits and installation needs. They will assist the request orders, quotes or information for doors, frames and hardware. This job requires excellent communication and problem solving skills. This is a demanding position due to the high volume sales call, quote requests, and the numerous requests for field sales and service calls for the state of Utah. This position requires a highly driven person that knows the commercial door industry and who is able to think creatively to solve the various challenges in the field. This person will work with others with in the branch to discuss the opportunities and to help come up with solutions to best serve the customer.

Essential Functions

  • Service the customers with information, pricing and solutions for their commercial door and hardware needs
  • Provide quotes and sales orders
  • Place orders for special order material
  • Set up deliveries for orders
  • Process paperwork for the industrial sales team
  • Discuss jobs with installers and sub-contractors to make sure work runs smoothly
  • Work with coordinator to schedule jobs
  • Survey and run leads
  • Assist with Inventories
  • Follow up with customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with the commercial door & hardware industry, required
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience with sales a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer relation skills
  • Proficient computer skills; including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Door Hardware, Access Control, Glass Aluminum, Low and High Energy operators and Locks

Physical Demands

This job operates in a fast paced, demanding professional office environment. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, team player, deadline and goal oriented. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
