Job Description

The Education and Outreach Coordinator coordinates and fulfills requests for presentations regarding domestic and sexual violence and/or The Cocoon’s services in a variety of settings: with community groups, college and high school classes, for other agencies, at display tables and events, etc. This person is responsible for overseeing that awareness materials are up-to-date and available for presentations and distribution. The Educator and Outreach Coordinator schedules and provides training for staff, volunteers and community members. After-hours and weekend on-call are scheduled as the agency’s needs arise. Work hours are flexible in order to accommodate necessary evening or weekend hours.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year related experience required and an ability to work from an empowerment model. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence, demonstrated strong public speaking skills and strong organizational skills required. Bilingual preferred.
