Our Meetings and Travel department is currently seeking an event specialist to assist with all aspects of corporate meeting and event execution. If you have experience in strategic planning and organization, or prior hospitality training, can work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills, this role may be a great fit for you!
Be Ready To:
partner with M&T team in all segments of executing corporate meetings and events, including Sales Meetings, August Meetings and other regional meetings
responsible for various aspects of event management with outside vendors including, but not limited to: site visits, vendor and contract negotiation, planning, execution, and follow up
travel onsite to meetings to attend to guest registration needs, resolving issues related to hotel, flight, and other travel needs
ownership of Cvent registration software technology and registrant data for all corporate meetings and events
assess M&T programs and implement deliberate workflows for increased productivity and effectiveness
provide strategic input and recommendations for the development and improvement of events
enhance communication with senior leadership by developing post-event executive summaries documenting attendance, budget considerations, wins and opportunities
seek out and attend industry networking events to develop meaningful relationships with vendors and other event professionals
Be Equipped With:
excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
highly organized and detail-oriented with proven ability to deliver exceptional work product
solid collaboration skills; will be required to coordinate closely with other departments
strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
ability to multi-task and adapt when unexpected changes occur
able to work independently and a self-starter
experience with the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hospitality industry
