The Senior System Architect role is to support the stable operation of the server infrastructure and Virtualization. This includes collaborating with the Sr Infrastructure Manager to plan, design and operate the infrastructure that supports our clients critical application and services. This person will also diagnose, resolve and document hardware and software system problems in a timely and accurate fashion and ensure minimal downtime to traffic flow.

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure Cloud environment

Manage Microsoft Hyper-V environment

Manage, implement, and support solutions such as Microsoft MECM, INTUNE, IIS, Active Directory, Virtualization, capacity management, change control, storage management, application processing, network, and security services

Manage Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Access Management (IAM), Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign On (SSO), Manage Certificate Authority and Certs

Manage Mobile Device Management systems

Coordinates, prioritize, and reports on key activities and projects in a timely manner

Establish and regularly report metrics needed for contentious improvement, capacity management, along with general requirement of systems development lifecycle

Builds processes for rapid problem detection and resolution including escalation policies used by network operations centers staff and incident response teams

Maintenance of hardware and software inventory, licenses, and support contracts

Responsible for the coordination of new license/software agreements and renewals

Other duties as assigned


Education, Skills, Experience & Certification: Requires a bachelors degree in a computer related study field or 10 years equivalent work experience

Must have obtained a Microsoft Certification of MCSE

Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems

Extensive application support experience with LAN/WAN hardware

Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards

Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers

Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience

Understanding of the organizations goals and objectives

Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Experience with Windows Operating Systems

Active Directory domain structures and administrating users, objects, groups, roles and permissions

Demonstrated understanding of user privileges and access control and the auditing thereof

Experience in Office 365 deployment, including data migration to OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.

Understanding or working knowledge of VoIP

Experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager

Solid grasp of mobile device management and support

Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with employees, managers and organizations

Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides

Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills

Strong written and oral communication skills as well as self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Understand the organizations goals and objectives

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with strong customer-service orientation

Be able to work respectfully and professionally with everyone, able to maintain required client/staff boundaries, and possess a willingness to work with an organization that deals with homeless men, women, and children

Ability to drive personal vehicle as needed, valid Texas Drivers License, with acceptable driving record and current liability insurance

Normal business hours, office environment, occasional weekend or evening events

Occasional visits to program sites and facilities may be required

Work schedule may be subject to change to meet the business needs

Frequent contact with staff and vendors, some contact with donors, volunteers and minimal contact with clients

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, work while standing or sitting for long periods of time

Dexterity of hands, fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, able to handle other computer components
