Responsibilities
Under general supervision of the Building Supervisor/Chief Engineer, perform a variety of maintenance functions including the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. Perform a variety of manual labor tasks and using various power and hand tools; and perform other related work as necessary. Primary role of the Facility Escort is to provide the oversight of escorting duties accompanying visitors to the facility that require an escort at all times. Top-Secret Unescorted access clearance is required.

EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job.
- Accommodate escorting requests for assigned facilities
- Coordinate with management to schedule and assist as required
- Clear understanding of access and security protocols
- Adhere to all standard safety requirements and precautions
- Provide assistance at special events
- Provide emergency assistance, as necessary
- Complete required paperwork
- Communicate with customers and other contracted service providers
- Assist other operations team members as needed
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- TS Unescorted Access Clearance required
- Obtain and hold all required Access Card/PIV Badge/CAC as required
- General principles of risk management related to job functions
- Safe work principles and practices
Ability to:
- Prepare and maintain basic records
- Work independently under absence of supervision
- Understand and follow oral and written instruction
- Act quickly and calmly in emergencies
- Communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:
- Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skill, and abilities would be:
Experience:
- Two (2) years of responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of public or private facilities including experience in the building trades.
Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- License and/or Certificates:
- Possession of or ability to obtain, and maintain, a valid Driver's License may be required.
Physical Standards:
- The job involves field work requiring frequent walking. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and reach. Positions in this classification occasionally lift and carry materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or less and push or pull furniture weighing 50 pounds or more.
