Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Development Manager will work in all development/fundraising efforts. This role will carry a portfolio of induvial, corporate and organization donors ($100 - $9,999) to qualify, cultivate, solicit, steward and be held accountable to an annual fundraising goal in partnership with the Chief Development Officer. Will also help to develop and execute strategy to increase the number of annual donors, retain existing donors and increase gift size.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The Development Manager will work to qualify, cultivate and solicit annual giving prospects

· Lead The Bridge’s annual giving program to produce sustainable revenue from individuals.

· Manage, solicit and steward an active portfolio of donor ($100 - $9,999)

· Establish revenue and participation goals for annual giving activities

· Develop strategy for all annual events activities including North Texas Giving Day employee giving campaign, annual fund and special donor functions

· Assist with planning, implementation, and production of all community and fundraising events including vendor relationships, budgets, and event logistics. Also, involved with coordination of activities related to event programs

· Assist with special events as directed including preparation, set-up, event execution and tear-down

· Perform other supportive duties to ensure that the resource development team meet annual fundraising and department goals

· Maintain accurate and timely records of donor activity in the database

· Provide campus tours to potential donors and investors

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Proven ability and desire to work personally with donor prospects and close gifts

· Strong relationship-building skills and donor-centric focus

· Excellent listening and communications skills (written and oral)

· Motivated and goal-oriented with ability to self-manage

· Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented

· Desire to further non-profit skills through webinars and development conferences

· Ability to work effectively with multiple priorities and deadlines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· A Bachelor’s Degree in business, public relations, or related field is required, Master’s Degree preferred

· Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License with state required auto liability insurance

· Four+ years non-profit experience, specifically with prospect research and pipeline development is preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

· Experience with Raisers’ Edge preferred

The Bridge is an adult homeless recovery center providing meals, shelter, primary and behavioral health care, job placements and housing services to adults experiencing homelessness. Envisioned in the early 2000's by homeless advocates, including then-Homeless Czar Mike Rawlings, The Bridge opened in 2008 as a privately managed collaborative project built by the City of Dallas and funded by public and private donations. In FY17, The Bridge served 8,646 individuals experiencing homelessness, which accounts for 85 percent of Dallas County's homeless population.
In a city with a homeless population of 5,000, The Bridge has become an internationally recognized model for adult homeless recovery focused on the treatment of mental illness and addiction. The Bridge is the only homeless recovery program in Dallas open to all adults, providing the homeless a safe and secure environment for growing in self-determination 24 hours each day, 365 days a year.
