Overview

The Solar Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing all Boston Solar teams installing residential and commercial systems, ensuring they do safe, high quality work efficiently. As a key member of the Operations Management Team, you will work with other departments to continuously improve processes and overall customer experience. You will lead by example and demonstrate strong commitment to excellence, professionalism and teamwork.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of high-quality field crews including recruitment, training and supervision
  • Optimize resources and processes to achieve or exceed performance targets
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and keep accurate/timely records in Salesforce
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures (e.g. Boston Solar, NEC and OSHA)
  • Stay up to date on the latest applicable codes and installation best practices
  • Work with other departments to ensure consistency and efficiency across Boston Solar
  • Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity
  • Manage the on-site facilities as necessary

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years construction experience
  • Strong technical knowledge including National Electric Code
  • Residential solar experience required; Commercial solar experience preferred
  • Understanding of installation best practices and ability to apply high quality control process
  • Understanding of OSHA standards and strong safety track record
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Operationally focused and detail oriented
  • Excellent people skills, able to manage, motivate and hold people accountable
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office and familiarity with CRMs (preferably Salesforce)
  • Massachusetts electrical license and/or unrestricted CSL are a plus
