My client, a Long Island based distribution company, has an immediate need for an Office Clerk to join their office located in Northern Nassau County. This candidate will be responsible for clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties.
This is a temp to perm position.
Hours: 8:30am - 5pm
- Answer multi-line phones and handle the caller’s needs or direct to the appropriate party
- Greet guests and answers questions, in person and by telephone
- Scan, upload, and file confidential documents
- Process mail, deliveries and shipments as needed
- Respond to inquiries from employees, customers, suppliers and others
- Develop and maintain office forms and procedures, and assists with administrative tasks
- Log incoming visitors, and notify the corresponding host
- Assist outside contractors and vendors with the use of department facilities
- 1+ years of prior office experience
- Ability to handle multiple phone lines with heavy call volume
- Must be able to work well under pressure and or stressful conditions
