Sales Manager

Summary of the Position: As Exhibit Sales Manager, you will promote our services to new and current customers, build your book of business and provide an outstanding customer experience. You will bring solutions to established and prospective customers and nurture these relationships into long-term partnerships. You will identify new opportunities and generate a pipeline. You will close exhibit booth and sponsorship sales, as well as sponsorship sales for PMMI Meetings, Business Intelligence, OpX and the PMMI Foundation.
Base is 70k + bonus/commission with realistic earnings potential of 150k+
This is a hybrid position and requires in office presence at least 3 times per a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sell and maintain exhibit space to companies for all PMMI trade shows via extensive customer/prospect outreach including calls, letters, emails, in person meetings.

Sell sponsorships for PMMI Meetings, Business Intelligence, OpX and the PMMI Foundation

Maintain an accurate and up to date sales pipeline in Salesforce, including contact information.

Work in conjunction with sales rep(s) to make telephone calls each day to prospect accounts to build a pipeline

Maintain role as key point-of-contact for strategic customers and develop relationships that go beyond the space sale; understand their relationship with PMMI - including membership and committees.

Work with Strategic Accounts to understand their overall goals and objectives for participating in PMMI trade shows and close the sale. Understand their various lines of business, departments, and subsidiaries; know the structure, stakeholders, and other key factors to help influence participation.

Frequent communication with accounts including travel to visit Exhibitor/Member companies

Generate and identify new sales opportunities through research, analysis, and discovery, following up on leads in a timely manner and qualifying new companies to exhibit.

Follow up on and close company-provided leads, keeping precise records of conversations with exhibitors and sponsors.

Responsible for working with operations and sales teams to develop sponsorships and present proposals

Responsible for processing exhibit space applications and providing timely, pertinent show information to exhibitors through email and telephone communications throughout the year.

Maintain and grow accounts by managing customer day-to-day requirements and providing excellent customer service.

Develop in-depth knowledge of our shows and markets

Assist in the development of promotional material to advertise both exhibit sales and sponsorship opportunities

Maintain knowledge of timeline and deadlines

Travel to industry shows to discover new leads and meet with existing customers

Run weekly and monthly show sales reports and distribute accordingly.

Responsible for maintaining records and tracking sales in Salesforce
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' trade show sales/customer service experience with a track record of success.

Strong preference to Salesforce Experience

Strong problem solving and project management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong ability to close sales

High sense of urgency to go above and beyond to provide an extraordinary customer experience
