AOM provides individuals and businesses with a comprehensive portfolio of professional services including business management, tax preparation, tax planning and tax consulting.
AOM is hiring a full time CPA/Tax Accountant with five or more years of relevant, recent public accounting firm experience who is craving real opportunity for growth. Amazing opportunity for a highly motivated results oriented professional with great interpersonal skills and strong leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will have a high proficiency in Lacerte or ProSystem fx, including a strong knowledge of basic accounting, current tax law and principles.
Prepare and review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for high net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts
Perform tax research and analysis using CCH Intelliconnect software
Prepare estimated tax calculations, tax projections and tax planning utilizing BNA Income Tax Planner.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, resolve discrepancies, prepare and review financial statements in concerted effort with account managers as needed
Complete projects with partner, tax professionals and other accounting team members in a great collaborative environment
Respond verbally and in writing to tax notices and tax audits from various federal and state agencies
Communicate job/project status to partners, team members and clients
Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as requested
Time entry daily using time and billling software
Bachelor’s degree required, college coursework in accounting highly regarded
Business management and public accounting firm experience a plus
Ability to plan and organize work for self and assist others to meet tight deadlines
Significant experience working with individuals, closely held businesses and pass-through entities (S Corps, LLCs, partnerships and LPs)
More than 5 years of prior work experience in a public accounting firm is required. Each candidate will be evaluated based on the combination of education and prior work experience
Strong proficiency in Lacerte, BNA, QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience in working with teams and managing multiple engagements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A results oriented problem solver
