Job Description

General Description:

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources for all human resource issues. Ensures organizational effectiveness and efficiency within the human resources department and payroll aspect of the business department. This position will have considerable contact within all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or related degree preferred, proven work experience as a recruiter with at least five years of experience in the field of HR. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written/verbal) and organization skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Understanding of labor laws within the states of RI and MA.

Job Responsibilities:_

Assists in recruitment efforts and interview process agency wide

Sourcing and attracting candidates by using social media

Conducting reference checks

Conducting required employee background checks to include BCI, CORI, DCYF, DPPC, Driving Record and OIG

Develop and update job descriptions

Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc

Work with local High Schools “School to Career” program to get summer help and also the Colleges for interns

In conjunction with HR Manager, conducts new employee orientation training

Assists with surveys

Assists in organizational training and development efforts

Assists with job fairs

Assists Director of HR with various special projects

Assist with the biweekly processing of payroll

Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Monday thru Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
