Desktop Support Manager

Reports To: Director of Information Technology

Primary Function: As a Desktop Support Manager, manage daily operations of the Desktop System and Desktop Support associates to ensure SLA compliance.

Work strategically to constantly improve support services to internal and external clients.


Requirements:

  • Four-year degree, preferably in computer science or business systems
  • 3 Years supporting Microsoft Office 365, Teams and OneDrive
  • 3 Years supporting remote users in a WAN or VPN environment
  • 2 Years of experience supervising an enterprise level desktop support team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify desktop or application issues and trends

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and support help desk technicians:
    • Mentor team and evaluate performance
    • Handle support calls as needed
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
    • Manage escalations for internal systems and with SAAS partners
    • Regular communication with office managers

  • Collaborate with IT group / managers regarding:
    • New technology projects, implementations
    • Lead communications on any system outage
    • New hire orientation
    • Training

  • Management of:
    • Software licensing
    • Desktop inventory
    • SLA performance and reporting
    • Support desk documentation

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA A+
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate
