Job Title: Registered Nurse - Hospice

Location: Falls Church, VA 22042

Start Date: ASAP

Shift: 5x8-Hour (17:00 to 07:00)

Job Duration: 13-Week Renewable Contract

Salary: $1,752-$2,044/week

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Hospice care to join our team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide exceptional care and support to patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring their comfort and dignity during their final stages of life. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes.
• Assess patients' condition and create customized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms and report any changes or concerns.
• Educate patients and their families about the hospice care process and provide emotional support.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

• Valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state of service (VA) with the ability to practice in Virginia, Compact, and/or Maryland/District of Columbia.
• Minimum of 1+ year experience as a home health or hospice nurse.
• EMR experience and proficiency.
• Experience working with geriatric and terminal patients is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification (Current Booster).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel between patients' homes with mileage reimbursement.
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, with no exemptions accepted.
