Graduate Nurse Residency

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Resident - Full-Time (Days & Nights, Rotating Weekends)

Salary and Benefits:

• Mid Range: $29.00 per hour
• Shift Differentials: $4.00 per hour for Nights & $4.00 per hour for Weekends
• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
• $5,000 Relocation for Qualified Candidates

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The StaRN Residency Program at our Facility  provides a comprehensive learning experience to transition nurses from the classroom to a hospital environment. This paid program includes advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training with an experienced nurse, hands-on simulations to evaluate skills, mentoring from nurse leaders, and collaborative work on evidence-based practice projects.

As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and nursing standards. You will assess patient condition, perform procedures and medication administration as ordered, provide patient education, and serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and medication administration as ordered by medical providers, documenting in the patient medical record.
• Monitor patient response to medications and intervene as appropriate.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and proactively resolve them.
• Provide patient education on medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.

Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, completed at the time of start date.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State, with 90 days to obtain license from graduation date.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be required for training, with all training expenses paid by the facility.
