Job Description

The College of Arts and Sciences invites applicants for a three-year-renewable, full-time, non-tenure-track English Composition lecturer who will also serve as Assistant Director of the university's Writing Center. This position will begin in Fall 2019 and will have a base 4/4 teaching load with 25% reassigned time for administrative duties in the fall and spring semesters. Teaching of both lower and upper division undergraduate courses is expected. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.

Required Qualifications:

+ A Master's degree in English or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

+ A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English.

+ A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience.

+ Experience working in a Writing Center as either a tutor or an administrator.

Texas A&M University--San Antonio: Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) is part of the Texas A&M University System. A&M-SA is a new campus in the established A&M system, serving students (undergraduate and graduate) from a culturally diverse and largely non-traditional population. The current enrollment is approximately 6,400.
