About The Role

Tevora is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Security Intern to join our team for a summer internship position. This internship opportunity is ideal for junior-level college students or college sophomores who are interested in gaining practical experience in the field of IT security and internal audit. The internship will focus on assisting in the process of performing internal audits on IT Security consultants, as well as contributing to the development of internal AI solutions and working on on-demand projects related to IT Security consulting.

Duration
Please note that this is a temporary internship position beginning in summer and will not lead to a full-time hire. The internship is initially planned for 13 weeks. However, there is a possibility of extending the internship into the summer if mutually agreed upon by both parties.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with the Technical Director of IT Security to assist in conducting audits on IT Security consulting projects.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of existing IT Security consulting practices and procedures.
• Assist in identifying potential risks related to IT Security consulting work product and propose mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to the development of internal AI solutions to enhance business processes.
• Work on on-demand projects related to IT Security consulting, which may include research, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Utilize Python scripting and programming skills to automate tasks and analyze data.
• Maintain documentation and records of audit findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
• Additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Junior-level college student or college sophomore pursuing a degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must have knowledge of Python scripting and programming.
• Strong interest in IT Security and internal audit.
• Basic knowledge of IT Security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Proficient in using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation and speaking skills.

Additional Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license as driving will be required in this role
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must be available to work a hybrid schedule at our Irvine, CA office.
