Do you have experience operating manufacturing machinery and are looking for a full-time permanent position with a stable schedule? Teufelberger Fiber Rope Corp. is hiring Manufacturing Machine Operators to work year-round at our production facility in the Fall River Industrial Park.

We are hiring Machine Operators for 2nd shift (3:20 PM – 2:00 AM; Mon – Thurs) openings.

Starting base pay is between $15.00/hr – $16.50/hr (commensurate with experience), along with automatic enrollment in company Profit Sharing Program. In addition, we have a skills based pay system that can earn you up to another $0.90/hr on top of your hourly base pay. All 2nd shift positions also qualify for a $0.30/hr differential in addition to base pay rates.

The successful candidate is a mechanically inclined individual who demonstrates a high attention to detail and possesses the ability to operate textile twisting, winding and braiding machinery to produce fiber rope.

Responsibilities & Duties:

The primary function of the Machine Operator position is to set-up, load, maintain and operate twisting / winding / braiding machinery to manufacture rope in accordance with ISO standards.

  • The Machine Operator is responsible for following the work order to exact specifications and maintaining related paperwork.
  • Load and monitor creels. Perform changeovers following production schedule, monitor quality of yarns produced.
  • Load, set-up and operate braiding machines -- Handle gear changes, creel loading and changeovers, monitor quality of multiple machines.
  • Inspect and package finished products. Unload finished spools / reels / rolls onto carts, weigh, label and move to the proper staging area.
  • Oil and lubricate machines according to preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Correct production problems with machinery, fix jams and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean work area throughout shift and perform general housekeeping.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior work experience as a Machine Operator in a production/manufacturing environment; 2+ years’ experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience working in the Textile Industry is a plus.
  • Experience performing multiple complex set-ups working as a machine operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to successfully pass basic Reading Comprehension and Arithmetic competency tests.
  • Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
  • Ability to follow detailed operating instructions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, speaking, hearing, eyesight, manual dexterity, lifting up to 50 pounds.
