Job Summary:

Under supervision, plan, direct, and coordinate an in-depth review of the development and construction of company specified products. Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, substantial adaptation and modification of standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria. Assist in the review of product design by Engineers. This includes an in-depth review of Engineer’s work pertaining to the following items: scope, budget, specification compliance, schematic design, mechanical design, submittal packages, pre-production builds, standards compliance, and quality assurance. Provide technical review and feedback to Engineers. Provide technical guidance on basic, engineering assignments, and department processes. Work closely with the engineering staff to resolve customer issues and concerns in regard to product capabilities and design.

Essential Functions:

  • Review routine engineering work requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Review Engineering products, such as industrial control panels and related equipment, to ensure conformance to TESCO standards and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to others as requested concerning their project needs.
  • Review all Engineering activities to ensure technical conformance
  • Provide technical support to other departments regarding Engineering work
  • Review TESCO’s standards and guidelines; stay current and apply them during review; get Engineers to follow and apply standards.
  • Explain project specifications to other Engineers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform other related and associated duties as assigned by the Lead Quality Engineer

Education and Knowledge:

  • Extensive experience with automation and control systems, panel design/building.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Thorough knowledge/understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD, computer-assisted engineering and design software is a plus


  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical design with current circuit technology and processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design).
  • At least 3 years of experience in the design and analysis of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
